Localz was chosen as the most creative innovator in the retail sector at IDEAS 2015, by impressing the audience with how to improve customer loyalty with location technology. The competition was hosted by top Danish supermarket retail chain Dagrofa and investment company CAPNOVA. In the final, Localz and 16 more entrepreneurs from Denmark and abroad proposed innovative ideas on how to transform the retail industry.
Localz prize includes a 20-hour course with Dagrofa to discuss the details of how the Localz solution can be deployed within Dagrofa. “We had a thoroughly excellent time and great fun during IDEAS 2015. The day was really well organised and effective, we certainly found it very valuable.” commented Martijn Verbree, Director Europe at Localz. “Localz is very excited with this win. We believe that Dagrofa is a perfect fit for us and we are looking forward to building a trusted relationship with the top Danish retail chain."
The last stage of the IDEAS 2015 was held in Ringsted on the 4th December. A judging panel, which consisted of experts from the Dagrofa Group and CAPNOVA, judged the 17 innovation projects. The aim of the competition was to showcase a variety of creative ideas on how to improve the Danish retail market. The contestants were divided into two streams: one was for product-based solutions and the other one was based around IT, mobile and Big Data solutions. Localz was within the second technology-focused stream.
Localz’ s proposition showed how location technology can enhance customer experience in store. With experience within the UK and Australian retail markets, we believe we can transform the Danish retail industry as well.
According to Finn Mogensen, CAPNOVA’s Investment Manager and a member of the judging panel: "Localz provides a platform technology that enables solutions to solve a key challenge for retailers such as Dagrofa: How do retailers create a mutually relevant and value adding dialogue between retailer and consumer? By implementing real-time solutions that are adapted to the micro-location of the consumer in the store. "
Sine Rosenkrantz Lindegaard, Communications Officer at Dagrofa, added:"We believe strongly that dialogue with our costumers is keen. And what Localz presented is a platform that will assist Dagrofa in driving that agenda."
Bikezac won the product-based solutions stream, offering bike-friendly shopping. Their product solves a common problem for many Danish shoppers, who use bikes on a daily basis.
Winning IDEAS 2015 provides Localz with a strong introduction to the Danish market. Localz looks forward to working with Dagrofa to transform the Danish retail industry.
