On Tuesday, 20th October 2015, Localz won the Connected Customer award during Retail Recharged. This win is a result of our Click&Collect solution that improves customer experience and enables users to order online and collect their order offline quicker and easier.
At Retail Recharged, Tim Andrew, Commercial Director at Localz, spoke about how Localz enables enterprises to provide better customer experience. He explained that clients want a connected view of a retailer from online to in-store. Tim demonstrated that in order to provide the best experiences, like Click&Collect, a variety of location technology such as beacons, QR and WiFi can be used. Even though connecting the digital and physical worlds can be challenging for retailers, research has shown that customers who shop both online and offline spend three times more than single channel customers. ¹
Here is a video of Tim Andrew's pitch:
Attendees at Retail Recharged voted for which category they deem to be the most important for their business in the next 12 months. The categories were Adaptive Marketing, Connected Customer, Operational Excellence and Accelerated Market Entry. Connected Customer was determined as the most critical by the majority (53%) of the audience and Localz was voted as the winner of the category. In the category, we were competing against Rewarding Visits and Reward Technology. Winning the prize gives Localz the opportunity to pitch for the title of The Retail Recharged Breakthrough Innovation Award in March 2016.
About the win, Tim Andrew says: “Retailers at the Retail Recharged event nominated being able to provide a Connected Customer experience as the most important focus area for them over the next 12 months. Our client base already demonstrates that retailers who focus on using location technology to gain new efficiencies in their business, while at the same time improving customer experience, have a significant competitive advantage. Being voted as the winner by the Retail Recharged audience is an important endorsement of both Localz strategy and our product.”
Retail Recharged was organised by Rich Insight to enable retailers to discuss and connect with the latest technology shaping the future of the industry. The aim of the event was to showcase and evaluate how the latest innovations and technology can successfully be applied in retail. There were more than 200 retailers and 15 speakers from global companies and brands such as Deutsche Telekom, Ralph Lauren, River Island, Google and more. Sponsors of the event included NatWest, SimilarWeb,Ve Interactive, Esri, Mobify, Apptus and PwC and supporting partners were Engage Works, Eventopedia, Mobile Marketing, Elastera, Tech City and Frame.
This year along with the Customer Connected award at Retail Recharged, Localz won IBM SmartCamp Australia. Being recognised for what we do is very important for us and we are looking forward to continuing this success.
