Localz is excited to be one of the 17 finalists at the Danish innovation competition IDEAS 2015, sponsored and organised by CAPNOVA and Dagrofa. To win this competition, Localz will have to show how Localz location technology can change the Danish retail and food industries.
On the 4th December, Localz will present at the final event at Dagrofa headquarters in Ringsted, from which only two companies will be the winners. On the second day of IDEAS 2015, finalists will be judged by grocers, group, store and chain managers from Dagrofa as well as the investment team of CAPNOVA. There will also be an opportunity for contestants to participate in workshops with Dagrofa, with the aim of opening up new collaborations.
Dagrofa Group operates in the retail, wholesale and foodservice areas in Denmark. The company consists of retailers Købmandshuset, KIWI and Pisiffik as well as wholesaler Dagrofa Logistik and food services Catering Engros and Dagrofa S-Engros.
Michael Rahbek, Private Label Manager at Dagrofa, comments: “With IDEAS 2015 we wish to take ownership of innovation in the retail industry and counter the conventional thinking that in reality exists within Danish retail and that we ourselves are a part of. In short, we want to make sure that we gain inspiration to innovate from other sources than just the suppliers, as well as assume an active societal responsibility. In this regard, fresh blood and fresh eyes on our world play a pivotal role in creating fundamental innovation. And this is true in the case of both products, concepts, service, packaging, and IT.”
CAPNOVA is an investment and development company, specialising in food technology. The company invests in innovative ideas and helps businesses to succeed. Typically, CAPNOVA invests up to DKK 6.5 million in a business.
